At the Cassia

I've just arrived at the fork where the Cassia departs from the Flaminia. I'm stopping for my second coffee and cornetto, before starting the gradual climb to the lake. 

I spent a lot of time enjoying the freedom of having a bike in Rome on Sunday morning with little traffic.  As a result I have a little over 10 miles already and I'm just leaving the city. 

I sent 4 photos so far:
1. The Palatine from where we used to live.  There was fog settled in the circo massimo.
2. The breakfast of cicliste italiani
3. The vatican
4. The lions in Piazza del Popolo.

I also toured the Pantheon, the Piazza di Spagna, and had a nice sprint up via del Corso.
